This Morning's Holly Willoughby taken aback as guest asks if she 'woke up in skip'

Holly Willoughby was taken aback by a guest's jibe on today's This Morning.

The presenter fronted Wednesday's edition of ITV's flagship daytime programme alongside Phillip Schofield. They interviewed Julian Clary and Nigel Havers on a jam-packed show.

The actors spoke to This Morning from the London Palladium where they are performing a pantomime of Jack and the Beanstalk. The This Morning Christmas party took place last night and Julian suspected the two presenters may have been nursing a hangover.

He said: "I can't tell you're trying to read the autocue in a sensible manner. Really, they're on the lash aren't you. We can't see you but we can tell."

Holly and Phil pleaded their innocence before Julian joked: "Did you wake up in a skip, Holly?"

She shot back: "Not today. Some days, yes, but today I'm actually an angel." The presenters opened the show by addressing the This Morning party yesterday.

The bash took place at the Fox and Feathers pub, which is owned by James Blunt. The musician gatecrashed the party alongside radio DJ Chris Evans.

Holly and Phil were joined by This Morning stars such as Alison Hammond, Dermot O'Leary and Rochelle Humes at the party. However, Phil revealed a competition winner who attended the event was disappointed another of the show's famous faces was unable to make it.

Phil said: "Josie [Gibson] was busy yesterday and couldn't go." Holly added: "We were all disappointed Josie wasn't there."
