This Morning's Holly Willoughby silent as ITV has another host shake-up in her absence

Holly Willoughby has stayed silence on social media as another host stepped into replace her on This Morning.

On Sunday, with just hours to go until the Dancing on Ice semi-final, a spokesperson for ITV confirmed that the presenter had tested positive for coronavirus.

She missed the live show, with bosses assuring fans that she'd be back for the delayed final next weekend and, while she wasn't replaced on Dancing on Ice, Holly has now had two replacements on This Morning.

Josie Gibson replaced Holly to present alongside Phillip Schofield on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, but she was nowhere to be seen on Thursday, with Alison Hammond instead joining Phillip in the studio.

When Phillip tested positive for Covid at the start of February he kept viewers in the loop on how he was feeling and what he was up to in isolation, even appearing on This Morning via video link from his home. But Holly has done the exact opposite, maintaining a silence on social media.

Phillip did update viewers at the start of Wednesday's show, telling them that Holly was "taking care of herself," but there have yet to be any posts from Holly herself.

Phillip also shared a hilarious video of Josie's outtakes on his Instagram as they got up to some high jinks in previously unseen footage.

Plenty of viewers were pleased to see Alison on screen a day earlier than usual, with the former Big Brother star normally presenting on Fridays with Dermot O'Leary.

One tweeted: "Yaaassssss @AlisonHammond is presenting today!!. Still love @Josiestweet though!!," with another posting: "I love Alison Hammond"
