This Morning host Holly Willoughby was quick to shut down speculation she'd be appearing in the Strictly Come Dancing ballroom anytime soon during an interview with one of the show's judges, Motsi Mabuse. The 41-year-old TV presenter was left surprised during Thursday's This Morning after Motsi teased her about taking to the dancefloor.
The TV judge, who joined Strictly back in 2019, was on the ITV daytime show to promote her new autobiography 'Finding My Own Rhythm', the Chronicle Live reports. She will be returning to the BBC One show when it returns later this month, alongside fellow judges, Craig Revel Horwood, Anton Du Beke and head judge Shirley Ballas.
During the interview Motsi, 41, spoke of her childhood in South Africa and how her love for ballroom dancing started. She also mentioned her sister Oti, who first appeared on Strictly since 2015 and became a fan-favourite as one of the show's regular professional dancers - lifting the glitterball twice - but announced she was leaving earlier this year.
Motsi then spoke of joining the glitz and glam of Strictly and how the show celebrates it's 20th anniversary this year. As the interview drew to a close, Holly and co-host Phillip Schofield thanked Motsi for coming on to the show, with Holly adding: "We'll see you on Strictly".
But the presenter was quickly put on the spot as Motsi cheekily quizzed: "I'll see you on the dancefloor?" Phillip looked shocked, as Holly tried to shrug off the subject: "Maybe not," she replied. Motsi added before laughing: "You started the conversation girl. I want to see it, the cha cha cha."
"No!" Holly insisted: "You've seen me in here. You might have to wait a very long time to see that." Phillip, 60, then commented: "I want to see that. Seriously, I want to see that.". "Another 20 years," Motsi said as they all laughed.
This Morning airs weekdays on ITV and ITV Hub from 10am. The 20th series of Strictly Come Dancing gets underway on Saturday, September 17.
