This Morning's Holly Willoughby offers off camera support to 'replacement' as she takes break

Josie Gibson has revealed she's had support from This Morning colleague Holly Willoughby, as she prepares to replace her on the ITV show next week.

As they always do when school holidays fall on the calendar, Holly and her main presenter partner in crime, Phillip Schofield, will be taking some time out and be missing from the This Morning studio over half term, while still honouring their commitments as Dancing on Ice hosts for the next two Sundays.

Holly and Phillip fully confirmed their brief hiatus from the daytime programme on Thursday, when they assured viewers at home they'd 'see them on Sunday.'

Their announcement arrived a few days after it was revealed by ITV that Josie would be taking over on This Morning with Dermot O'Leary in Holly and Phillip's absence and former Big Brother winner Josie has discussed how she's been championed by Holly behind the scenes.

Discussing how honoured she felt to be handed another stint as main host, Josie said: "Holly is just brilliant too. I’ve gone for jobs and have asked producers ‘how did you know to phone me?’ and a few times I’ve been told ‘Holly’s been telling us how much she loves you’... how nice is that? We all cheer each other on so much."

On the nerves she still gets from being This Morning presenter, Josie added: "I still get nervous! I always say that when you’ve got a presenting partner it's a bit like skiing - and sometimes you’ve got the skiers who know all the slopes and all the technical moves, and sometimes there are those that are a bit more apres ski… and it’s learning to deal with those different styles!

"You always need a passenger and a driver and sometimes it's good to switch from those positions from time to time.”
