This Morning's Holly Willoughby 'loses it' as show revisits Miriam Margolyes moment

Holly Willoughby was left in stitches for a second time as This Morning revisited an interview with always hilarious guest Miriam Margolyes during Friday's show.

It was at the start of this month that Holly and co-host Phillip Schofield announced to ITV viewers that they were taking an extended break from hosting duties for the festive period, before being seen on screen on Christmas Day for a special festive edition. They have been back on This Morning this week but, while certain elements of the episodes have appeared to be live, with Holly and Phillip telling guest Davina McCall they were 'clinging onto Christmas' and saying things like 'it's only a few days until New Year,' in reality the shows were recorded weeks ago.

That has meant that a lot of the content on this week's This Morning has been highlights of the year gone by, with Alison Hammond's interviews with Backstreet Boys and Holly and Phillip's chats with Jeff Goldblum and Judi Dench, among the moments featured again. And, just five minutes into Friday's show, there was a look back at a moment involving acting legend Miriam, who has previously caused chaos on the show with her swearing.

Phillip and Holly teased that there was a whole collection of Miriam highlights coming up and teased it, with a look back at the moment she broke wind live on air, as Phillip struggled to keep composure. As the clip played out, Holly was heard giggling in the background and, when the camera cut back to her in the studio, she visibly lost it, saying: "Sorry, still not quite over that one! We're taking back at some of our highlights of when Miriam Margolyes came to visit."

Phillip replied: "This is the one time she'll be on the show we're not terrified she's going to swear, because it's recorded."
