Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield's This Morning return date has now been confirmed after their lengthy hiatus, right as viewers accuse the show of 'breaking the rules' over its Spin to Win game.
It's ben close to a month since main presenting duo Holly and Phillip signed off for 2022, announcing their break near the start of December, before they were replaced by a number of different hosting combinations as the likes of Alison Hammond, Dermot O'Leary and Craig Doyle all stepped into host. Former Big Brother winner Josie Gibson was delighted at getting to team up with CBBC legend Andi Peters at Christmas time and they were reunited on Tuesday to anchor the first live show of the year.
Josie and Andi appearing on screen caused confusion amongst This Morning viewers as Lorraine Kelly handed over to them as her ITV show came to an end minutes earlier. As some questioned why Holly and Phillip still weren't back, others were pleased that Josie and Andi got another opportunity to host together again.

However, one move that raised more than a few eyebrows was the fact that producers 'bent the rules' in relation to Spin to Win, it's daily gameshow, that is always fronted by the absent Holly and Phillip. As soon as the game started, there was reaction on Twitter to it being allowed to happen without them, as Andi explained it was a 'special,' as well as letting slip that Holly and Phillip would be back on Monday.
Reacting to what they were seeing on screen, one viewers tweeted: "WHAT!?! Someone other than Phil & Holly doing Spin To Win?!? Is this #ThisMorning new resolution???" On hearing that Spin to Win's return would only be a brief one, another responded: "What's happened to Wednesday and Thursdays?"
