Gino D'Acampo has landed another spin-off show on This Morning, following his rather eventful return to the show last week, which saw him briefly 'replace' Dermot O'Leary as host, after a 'spat' with his co-star.
TV chef Gino has been a regular on the ITV daytime programme for years, quickly becoming a firm favourite with viewers at home, thanks to his often fiery banter with his co-stars and passionate food demonstrations. During his time on This Morning, Gino has also been given the opportunity to show viewers his homeland; going back to Italy to turn the spotlight on the food and culture of the famous country and its many regions.
And now Gino will soon be doing the same again, as he fronts Simple Sardinia, a new spin-off, which was teased during Thursday's show. As Holly Willoughby and Craig Doyle cut to an ad break, a brief preview of Gino's latest project appeared on screen. As footage of Gino played out, an ITV voiceover explained: "Join Gino on This Morning, as he brings things back to basics. Using every day ingredients, bursting with big flavours," as Gino was then heard asking: "What can go wrong?"

The voice over then continued: "From irresistible risotto, to perfect pasta," before announcing that Simple Sardinia was 'coming soon.'
News of Gino's latest This Morning spin-off arrived a week after he returned to the ITV show, following a lengthy absence due to his return to Italy. As he joined Holly and Dermot in the studio, Dermot quipped that Gino was finally 'allowed' back, before the chef then snapped at his colleague during a demonstration.
Dermot dared to question Gino on his method. to which he retorted: Who is the cook on the show?" As Dermot replied: "I don't know," Gino snapped: "Who is the cook?! Do I tell you how present the show? No."
Laster on in the show, things then took a turn when, it was Gino, not Dermot, who was sat next to Holly behind the hosting desk, as This Morning returned from an ad break, going onto deliver a live link, before the camera panned across to Dermot, taking Gino's place in the kitchen.
