Dr Zoe Williams has candidly revealed the ups and downs of being a general practitioner as a parent.
This Morning doctor Zoe, 42, welcomed her son Libson into the world in June 2021, who she shares with her partner Stewart McKay.
The TV star, who has teamed up with Aveeno Kids, has been incredibly candid with her journey throughout motherhood so far and regularly keeps her followers updated on her day to day life as a mum and a TV doctor on her Instagram.
While some may think it may be handy to be a GP as a parent, Zoe has revealed to the Mirror there are "pros and cons".
When asked if there are any benefits to being a GP as a mother, Dr Zoe revealed: "There are pros and cons.
"Typically what we tend to find is that us healthcare professionals either tend to overreact – you know if your baby has an ugly coloured poo just once you can freak out and think things are worse – or we can be a little bit complacent.
"I think I've probably experienced myself doing a little bit of both and it really is a reminder as to why as doctors we must not treat our family members as a doctor.
"When it comes to Lisbon first and foremost, I'm his mum – not doctor."
Dr Zoe added: "It's good that we have that additional knowledge but, that additional knowledge can be considered [as] pros and cons."
Zoe's son Lisbon is due to turn two in June next year and the TV doctor has revealed she's finding parenthood easier as her son grows.
"I find that it's getting easier as time goes on," Dr Zoe explained. "He is now at nursery three days a week and he absolutely loves nursery.
"And those three days I can now focus on work without any mum guilt because I know that he's really happy and he just loves it there.
"I am so happy that he loves nursery, that makes life a lot easier and that makes the juggle much easier.
"Also now he is a bit more established with a routine, it means on the day of where I am with him I've got a bit more of an idea when he's likely to sleep and take his naps and bedtime and certain times of the day he will just sort of sit and play with his toys as long as I'm nearby so, I'm able to get on with a few of the bits and bobs even when he is with me.
"I definitely would say gradually, as time goes on, it's getting easier."
One of Dr Zoe's recent work projects has seen her team up with Aveeno on their children's range.
She said: "I'm happy to be working with Aveeno on the launch of its new range of products, Aveeno Kids, which is designed especially for children over the age of three.
"I'm a big fan of Aveeno and I've used some of the products myself for a very long time."
She added: "I've been using a Aveeno Baby on my baby but, I recognise that when children get a little bit older there's a little bit of a gap because the baby products might not be so great once children are getting a bit grubbier and their hair is changing texture, but also the adult products might not be suitable either so it's brilliant that there's a kids range."
