Dermot O'Leary has very publicly laughed off any talk of tension between himself and This Morning co-star Gino D'Acampo after the chef snapped at him on Tuesday's show, before 'replacing' him as host.
Favourite to be the full time successor for Phillip Schofield on the ITV daytime programme, Dermot is coming to the end of an extended stint at the helm of This Morning, having fronted the show, alongside Phillip's former co-host Holly Willoughby, for two consecutive weeks. Dermot was bookies' immediate tip to step into Phillip's job, as soon as he announced he was leaving his This Morning role after 21 years, before then quitting ITV altogether after admitting to an affair with a much younger colleague.
Gino joined Dermot and Holly in the This Morning studio, as he made his return to the show after a few months away. Introducing him in the kitchen, Dermot quipped that Gino was finally being "allowed" back in, before Gino then fired back at Dermot for daring him to question during a cooking demo.

Unimpressed with the interruption, Gino retorted: "Who is the cook?! Do I tell you how present the show? No." A short time later, This Morning returned from an ad break, with Dermot nowhere to be seen as Gino hosted with Holly, before cameras panned round to see Dermot taking Gino's place in the kitchen.
Viewers were quick to claim they'd clocked 'tension' between Dermot and Gino, but brushing that aide, Dermot took to Instagram to share a photo of him and Holly on set, with his caption also mentioning Gino. Posting to his many followers, Dermot wrote: "Always a laugh with this one and Gino!"
Dermot clearly saw the funny side of his earlier 'spat' with Gino, as he even shared a clip of the moment on his Insta story.
