Dermot O'Leary was given his 'marching orders' by This Morning colleague Alison Hammond, telling viewers at home that he was 'kicked off' set on Friday.
It took just moments of cameras rolling on the ITV daytime show's final episode of the week for Dermot to make the claim that he'd already been told to leave the studio by presenting partner in crime Alison for something that was happening outside.
After no further details were given, Alison then ordered Dermot off set around half an hour later. As the two sat next to each other on the famous This Morning set, the newly confirmed host of The Great British Bake Off told her co-host: "Dermot, you're fired, right after the pair had interviewed The Apprentice finalists: winner Marnie Swindells and runner up Rochelle Anthony.

As the Apprentice stars laughed next to them, Alison continued: "I've found you a new job over the road okay? There's a little cat cafe," as Dermot quipped: "It's a promotion!"
As Alison handed over to the programme's resident vet, Dr Scott, he told Dermot: "Come over and join me and we can have a little chat," before Alison, playfully pushing Dermot out of shot, added: "Come on, you can go now."
Dermot eventually got up out his seat and wandered off camera, as Marnie and Rochelle sat looking slightly bemused.
New Apprentice champion Marnie's This Morning appearance came as she had to shut down accusations that she 'ruined' the final result by posting about opening a new boxing gym on Instagram, weeks before the end of the series.
After being attacked by a viewer for 'giving away' the outcome, Marnie replied: "Nope! I opened that gym entirely separate from Lord Sugar"
