This Morning's Dermot O'Leary gives sweet insight into Holly Willoughby's plush wedding

This Morning’s Dermot O’Leary gave ITV viewers a sweet insight into fellow TV presenter Holly Willoughby ’s wedding to Dan Baldwin in 2007.

Dermot, who is standing in for Holly and co-host Phillip Schofield alongside Alison Hammond during the Easter break, was an usher at the wedding between the TV presenter and producer.

The former X Factor host, 48, told ITV viewers of the day while Clodagh McKenna whipped up a recipe in the This Morning kitchen on Monday.

As Clodagh used bay leaves for her creamy pasta bake, Dermot said he has his own enormous bay leaf tree in his garden, as a result of Holly and Dan’s lavish wedding.

He said: “At Holly and Dan's wedding they gave everyone a little bay tree, so we planted it in our back garden and now it's huge! We use it for cooking all the time - thanks Holly!”

Clodagh and Alison agreed the guest favour was a sweet one, telling Dermot the choice was “really cool”.

Holly married TV producer Dan at St Michael's Church in 2007, with the pair hosting their reception at Amberley Castle in West Sussex.

The 900-year-old castle is a very meaningful place to the couple, with them regularly visiting the site on special occasions.

Holly's bridesmaids consisted of former Celebrity Juice co-star Fearne Cotton, MTV presenter Sarah Cawood, as well as her sister and a few childhood friends.

Speaking about the wedding to OK! at the time, Holly said: "We used to go there when I was little for lunch every time there was a special occasion. I think I just knew I would get married there."

The couple first met when Holly rejoined CITV in 2004 and began presenting Ministry of Mayhem, a show Dan produced.

They went on to have three children together, Harry, Belle and Chester.

Holly has spoken openly in the past about their key to lasting love, saying on This Morning: “We’re very honest with each other, we listen to each other.

"I love him and he loves me. We respect each other and we probably drive each other round the twist.

"But we give each other space for that as well."

The presenter also said the pair "still fancy the pants off each other" and always says to Dan that they're "very lucky" because they've "got each other, family, and a lovely home."

This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV and ITV Hub.
