Dermot O'Leary exposed a major issue with Friday's This Morning, within seconds of the show starting, as he revealed the 'reality' of a live outdoor broadcast to viewers at home.
After a week of seeing Holly Willoughby and Craig Doyle host the ITV daytime show, fans were greeted by Dermot and his usual co-presenter Alison Hammond as Christine Lampard crossed live to This Morning, towards the end of her stint as Lorraine guest presenter.
Minutes later, it was time for camera to roll on the programme and, rather than being in the studio, Dermot and Alison were outside Television Centre to kick of proceedings, as temperatures continued to climb in London. Looking around her, Alison remarked: "Welcome to a beautiful This Morning. Isn't it beautiful? Look at the sun shining." After hugging Dermot, Alison told him: "You are my little sunshine."

And then, revealing that things weren't quite as tranquil as they may have appeared on screen, Dermot sarcastically quipped: "The resplendent sounds of the pneumatic drill, traffic going passed, helicopters going over," as Alison added: "It's the way it is. It's a scorcher!"
It became clear just why Dermot and Alison were outside moments later, when the presenters gave people watching at home a look at the famous Greased Lightning car from Grease, announcing that the cast of the West End revival of the hit movie musical would be giving a special performance.
But, clearly still annoyed by what was going on around him, after the promise that the cast would be performing 'all the favourites' from the show, Dermot pondered whether they'd actually be heard over the sound of the drilling.
