Dermot O'Leary received the backing of viewers as he confirmed that there would be a change to Friday's This Morning, for a very poignant reason.
As he does at the end of every week, former X Factor presenter took the reins of the ITV daytime show alongside Alison Hammond. November 11 is the day that the nation falls silent every single year to remember our war heroes and, in line with many public offices, schools and businesses across the UK, Dermot confirmed seconds into Friday's programme, that This Morning would be interrupting its schedule to go. He told viewers: "We will be joining the nation, as we remember out heroes, the fallen as we join the two minutes of silence at 11 o'clock."
