This Morning's Craig Doyle threatens to 'break down' seconds into show as Josie Gibson steps in

Craig Doyle informed viewers he was ready to start crying, just moments into Thursday's This Morning, forcing colleague Josie Gibson to step in and 'comfort' him.

Former Holiday star Craig has been teaming up with Big Brother winner turned ITV favourite Josie, to front the daytime show for all of this week, as Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield continue their break for Easter. News of Craig and Josie getting another chance to host together was announced by their This Morning co-stars Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary at the end of last week and was met with widespread excitement by fans.

While Alison and Dermot usually team up to host Fridays, Craig and Josie will extends their stint in charge to a full week and it was on their penultimate show together that Craig became bizarrely emotional about the most random thing.

After the famous This Morning theme tune played out and cameras rolled, Craig seemed a little out of sorts at the stat of the live broadcast, remarking: "It's Thursday though. It feels like a five-coffee day. It can be a five-coffee Thursday. I feel like I could cry at a phone-in today."

Craig went onto say the he found Thursdays 'tiring,' before adding: "I might start crying early doors here because nostalgia really upsets me sometimes," elaborating to explain that it was down to the fact they'd be talking about Tupperware and the fact it could be about to go out of business, quipping "I'm going to cry about food storage."

Slightly taken aback by her co-host's confession, but offering support all the same, Josie told viewers at home; "He's a bit emotional today. But come on, it's going to be alright. Everything's going to be alright in the end."
