Alison Hammond has been keeping a big secret from fans which was finally outed by her This Morning co-host Dermot O'Leary earlier this week. The presenter has kept her new romance away from public knowledge for almost two years, she has now revealed.
She appeared all shy earlier this week when Dermot outed her live on the ITV daytime show. As the 49-year-old and Alison, 47, engaged in their usual catch-up chat during their first day of half-term cover for Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield on Monday (May 30), Dermot said: "You're not available anymore are you, but if you were, you'd be a catch", as he gave her a friendly nudge. She then quickly replied: "What do you mean 'I'm not available".
Clearly flustered, Dermot replied: "Well, erm, you know..." But Alison was still playing along, declaring: "I'm available", to which Dermot said: "Oh she is available". After a bit more back and forth over Alison's availability, the mum-of-one tried to appear annoyed as she said: "Well I think you've just told the whole world," before laughing.

Dermot then said nervously: "I think I've just gone down a rabbit hole here". After saying to her co-host: "I love the way you out me", the mum-of-one beamed as she confirmed: "There is someone in my life, yes." She then said: "I'm going to tell everyone", gesturing towards the cameras and the viewers at home. There is a special someone in my life".
And now, speaking about her new man for the first time, The Sun reports Alison revealed: "Can you believe Dermot outed me on the TV? I’m a little bit disappointed to be honest with you as I can’t flirt with no one else now.
"He’s a lovely man and all I can say is that I’ve had him hidden for a year and a half. A year and a half I’ve been with him, and no one knew! He loves me to bits. He absolutely worships me and massages my feet every single day. What more do you want?!"
Alison made her latest comments as she appeared on Channel 4’s The Lateish Show with Mo Gilligan which airs tonight (Friday) at 10pm. She even revealed she is not with an ex and told the comedian turned TV host how she got back at one of her former flames.
She said: "I really wanted to p**s my ex off so I didn’t include him at all. I phoned him up and said, ‘Are you okay with me putting you in the book?’ and he said, 'Yeah, that’s fine, I’d love you to', and I just left him out. And then I sent him the book!"
