Holly Willoughby and Alison Hammond shared a hilarious moment on This Morning as Alison 'rugby tackled' her co-host, supporting her as she fell to the floor.
Alison, 48, is replacing Phillip Schofield on the ITV staple for the week and she and Holly have been enjoying themselves while he's away.
The pair showed viewers the sweet moment, which saw the pair run into each other in the studio, Allison catching Holly as she falls to the floor, both giggling at the incident.
The veteran This Morning presenter explained: "Not only did you catch me, but we sort of collided together", with Alison interjecting: It was [like] a rugby tackle."
Holly went on: "And I ended up on the floor. This is what happened, you might not have seen..."
The footage from earlier that morning then rolled.
The new Great British Bake Off host apologised to Holly, saying: "I'm so sorry, you were in my direction. I had to take you out!"
Alison then jokingly asked if there had been any knickers on show, with Holly confirming there wasn't and that had been checked before the clip was shown.
Alison currently presents This Morning on Fridays with Dermot O'Leary, but fans called for her to become a main host.
"Petition for @alisonhammond55 and @dermotoleary 5 days a week please @thismorning," one Instagram user wrote after the news Alison would be host all week was confirmed.
"Best thing producers did getting you two on, certainly has jazzed up the show! would love to see you every day," another added, as a third quipped: "I wish you guys were on Monday-Friday."
Fans may be hoping in vain, however, as Alison recently secured one of the biggest presenting gigs in town- The Great British Bake Off, replacing Matt Lucas.
Matt revealed in December he was stepping down from the presenting role after appearing in the last three series as he could no longer commit to the programme’s schedule alongside his other projects.
The comedian reposted Hammond’s announcement video to Twitter and wrote: “Dear Alison, many congratulations! You were born to do it. You will be brilliant! Xx.“
Meanwhile, Noel posted a photo of his new co-host on his Instagram, writing: “It gives me so much pleasure to welcome @alisonhammond55 into the tent. I’m absolutely pumped we are working together.
“We are gonna spend the whole time giggling like naughty school kids.
“The bakers are gonna love you to bits. x x x @paul.hollywood @prueleith @britishbakeoff x.”
Her selection for the plum role comes after Alison wowed the show’s fans in 2020 with her stint on the celebrity version for Stand Up 2 Cancer.
Going up against James Blunt, Alex Jones and Joe Sugg, she declared: “I do think that good food and good baking comes from the heart - and I’ve got a lot of heart.”
The TV star’s career was launched in 2002, when she became the second housemate to be evicted from the third series of Big Brother.
