Alison Hammond has revealed how the This Morning Christmas party was 'gate-crashed' by Chris Evans and James Blunt, after the bash was held at the pub owned by the You're Beautiful singer.
Due to the daytime show having some time off air this month, due to ITV showing live World Cup matches, there was a window of opportunity for everyone on the show to get together for a festive knees up, which regular Friday presenter Alison gave a quick snap shot of on her Instagram grid a few weeks ago.
The likes of her usual co-host Dermot O'Leary, main This Morning presenters Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby, Craig Doyle and Rochelle Hume were all seen in the video of the team's Christmas dinner, along with chef Clodagh McKenna and resident therapists The Speakmans.
However, appearing on Nick Grimshaw's Dish podcast, alongside Dermot, Alison let slip that there were also two unexpected guests at the event, in the shape of pub owner James and ex Radio 1 Breakfast host and Big Breakfast presenter Chris. Spilling the details to Nick, Alison said: "Then James Blunt rocked up....with Chris Evans," before Dermot admitted it turned into a bit of an 'all dayer' with Nick admitting he'd a video o TV and radio star Chris "with beer in one hand and wine in the other," looking very much like '90s Chris Evans.'
Alison and Dermot had a full week at the helm of This Morning in the run up to Christmas, as Phillip and Holly began their festive break an are expected to return to their usual Friday slot, when the show reverts back to its usual format next week, having aired pre-recorded episodes over the last few days.
