Alison Hammond admitted she was 'devastated' after being mistaken for a bin man on This Morning.
The presenter appeared on the ITV show wearing a neon orange sleeveless jacket over her long sleeved black top.
As Dermot O' Leary welcomed his co-presenter onto the show, Alison said: "Can you believe what Ranvir just said about me? She said that I look like I'm wearing a high viz jacket."
Alison defended: "This is the style this is what I'm wearing. This is not high viz it's just an I would say coral jacket."
Dermot responded: "I didn't get the memo."
"I didn't know we were moonlighting and doing that bin round later on so...."
Dermot then made things worse as he pulled out his own high vis pink safety jacket and put it on.
Alison said: "Oh no! Are you saying we look like bin men?"
Dermot laughed: "Or stewards, yeah."
Alison then admitted: "Oh, I'm devastated. I've really messed up. I'm going to have to tell David to go and get me another top."
Social media had a field day with Alison's look.
One person said: "#ThisMorning Normally Alison looks stunning, but today with that orange vest thing, it looks like she is a council worker ready to collect the bins! Sorry, but true"
Another added: "Is Alison going to be fixing motorways later? #thismorning".
With a third joking: "Alison’s off to fix some potholes later in her hi-viz… #ThisMorning"
And another asked: "Alison and Dermot if you're the bin men please come and empty ours as they are on strike and have been for weeks..."
The fun segment came before things got more serious later when Alison revealed she'd been unable to attend the funeral of her father during a segment about Covid rules and Partygate.
