Alison Hammond is at the centre of calls for her to be one of the main full time presenters on This Morning, after she confirmed Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield's return to the show.
While seen on screen on Christmas Day and last week, the reality is that Phillip and Holly haven't actually set foot in the This Morning studio since the start of December, with both the December 25 episode and the shows that aired between Christmas and New Year, all pre-recorded.
As they do every festive season and over summer and Easter, the ITV programme's main presenters have been on a lengthy break, meaning that Alison has been given more opportunities to take the reins, rather than her and Dermot O'Leary just hosting on Fridays.
The pair were the first 'replacement' hosts to make the step up to main presenters in Phillip and Holly's absence, with Josie Gibson, Craig Doyle and Andi Peters also coming in to front This Morning in recent weeks.

After Dermot hosted with Josie on Thursday, it was Alison by his side a day later, with the duo hosted an action packed show, which include a section on how to bag some New Year bargains, more discussion on Prince Harry's latest revelations and an interview with new Love Island host Maya Jama.
The final This Morning of the week ended with Alison and Dermot enjoying some food cooked for them by chef John Torode, before Alison signed off with the news that, after their month long hiatus, Phillip and Holly would be back on Monday.
But, while not taking aim at Phillip and Holly, there were plenty of people calling for Alison to be given the main host job on a permanent basis. Backing both Alison and Dermot for the full time gig, one fan took to Twitter to post: "Can we make Dermot and Alison the permanent hosts of This Morning please?"
A second tweeted: "please can we have Josie Alison Andi Dermot and Craig on permanently please," with another commenting: "Why isn’t Alison Hammond the main presenter now here?, and a fourth writing: "Can we get rid of #HollyandPhil and get queen Alison Hammond in as the main presenter?"
