This Morning's Dermot O'Leary and Alison Hammond have addressed the ongoing controversy surrounding the show.
It was the first episode since Phillip Schofield quit ITV after he admitted having an affair with a runner while working on the show. Today's hosts broke their silence on the 61-year-old's exit before they discussed Monday's headlines.
Dermot said: "We all know that we happen to be in the news at the moment and of course we appreciate. But from all of us and the team but we just wanted to say that we love making this show.

Alison added: "We really do and that's exactly what we're going to do. We're going to continue doing that so let's go on with our first news story."
They were joined by Gyles Brandreth and Sonia Sodha to discuss the latest headlines. Gyles shot down rumours about This Morning being a toxic environment as he said: "We are very happy to be here."
This was echoed by a statement shared by Mr Schofield ahead of the episode. He posted on his Instagram story: "Now I no longer work on This Morning I am free to say this. I hope you have noticed that it's the same handful of people with a grudge against me or the show who seem to have the loudest voice.
"This Morning is the best show to work on, with the best people. In all the years I worked there there was no toxicity. You can listed to those persistently loud voices if you like. But the thousands of guests over the years, thousands of staff and crew, hundreds of presenters and contributors all know, it is a family of wonderful, talented, kind, hard working people."
