This Morning problem spotted just before cameras stop rolling

This Morning viewers were left baffled after a hiccup on the show just before the ad break began.

Presenters have kept a distance between them ever since the coronavirus lockdown took effect in 2020- adhering to strict onset protocols to prevent the virus from spreading on set.

Monday's episode saw Hollyoaks actress Stephanie Davis talk about the horrors she experienced at the hands of a stalker, who has now been jailed.

Alex Boston was finally sent to prison on Friday after a campaign which saw him go to Ms Davis’ house during the night and leave notes professing his love for her.

Stephanie bravely spoke of what she had been through and the impacts it had on her life and her mental health.

As the segment drew to a close, Rochelle Humes - who is currently standing in for Holly Willoughby - told viewers what they could expect after the ad break.

Just before the cameras stopped rolling, Stephanie walked towards Rochelle with open arms.

Fans of the show were left confused.

Taking to Twitter, Lucy Lou said: #ThisMorning What's the point in Phil and Rochelle sitting at a distance when she's just got up to give them a hug?"

Rockchic76 said: "She blatantly got up to hug Rochelle?"

Carl Johnson said: "Hahaha didn't even wait for the camera to pan out"

King_Cadey said: "So funny watching everyone on #thismorning pretending to ‘maintain social distance’ on screen then that girl from Hollyoaks gets up after her interview to hug Rochelle!"

This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV and the ITV Hub.
