This Morning has confirmed who will host the ITV flagship daytime programme alongside Holly Willoughby. The 42-year-old has returned to present the show following the exit of Phillip Schofield.
Phil, 61, stepped down from his role on the daytime show on Saturday, May 20 following a rumoured rift with Holly and later quit ITV altogether after revealing he'd had an affair with a younger colleague. Following his departure, his co-star of 14 years Holly took a two-week break, returning on Monday, June 5 for the first time without Phil.
During both Phil and Holly's absences, Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary took the reins. The presenters usually only present the show on a Friday and during the holidays.

Craig Doyle also stepped up, replacing Dermot as he took some time off to celebrate turning 50 with friends and family. But now Holly is back, who is set to replace Phillip Schofield?
In a statement when Phil first announced he would be stepping down, bosses confirmed Holly would remain on This Morning and would co-present with members of the This Morning family, and this certainly seems to be remaining the case for now.
While Josie Gibson hosted This Morning alongside Holly on both Monday, June 5 and Tuesday, June 6, ITV has confirmed a mid-week change will see Craig host alongside Holly on Wednesday and Thursday of this week. The Dublin-born presenter has hosted a huge array of shows on Irish Network channel RTÉ, as well as his other work commitments with channels including BBC, ITV, and BT Sport. The much-loved presenter even had his own chat show on RTÉ One back in 2010 called Tonight with Craig Doyle, as well as RTÉ Two’s Craig Doyle Live, which ran from 2011 to 2013. You can read more about Craig here.
Alison and Dermot will be back as usual on Friday. This Morning continues on weekdays at 10am on ITV1 and ITVX. For more showbiz and television stories get our newsletter here.
