This Morning host confirms when Holly Willoughby will return from break

Holly Willoughby is missing from the iconic This Morning sofa as the daytime programme begins a new week of episodes.

Dermot O'Leary has joined Holly on the show for the past fortnight, however he was also missing from This Morning, as Craig Doyle and Josie Gibson fronted the show on Monday.

Both Holly and Dermot were seen at Glastonbury Festival over the weekend.

In recent weeks, members of the "This Morning family" have co-presented the show with Holly after Phillip Schofield dramatically quit ITV in May. A permanent replacement for Mr Schofield has not yet been confirmed.

Last week, Gino D'Acampo joked he had been given the gig, much to Holly's surprise. As he returned to the ITV show for the first time in some weeks, Gino asked whether he had missed "any news" over the past month.

He also suggested he would become a permanent presenter once September rolls around. He said: "See you all in September when I will be hosting", before Holly jokingly pushed him out of the camera view.

On Monday, many fans of the show took to social media to note Holly's absence, with some even speculating she may not return for a while. However Craig, 51, told viewers she will be back on This Morning on Tuesday (June 27), after a four-day break.

This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV and ITVX
