This Morning fans cringe over astrologer's 'awkward' phone-in with Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield

This Morning fans were left cringing as they picked up on the irony of what they described as an 'awkward' phone in between Holly Willoughby, Phillip Schofield and the show's resident astrologer.

On Tuesday's show (May 16), Hagan Fox invited viewers to get in touch with the ITV daytime show so he could try and answer their questions by assessing their star sign. When teasing his upcoming segment earlier into the show, the astrologer explained that he would be leading a phone in on relationships.

But after asking if viewers got on with their boss, Hagan paused for a moment. He said: "Today it's about relocation, relationships, work issues. Do you get on with your boss? Do you not get on with your boss? It's about changing jobs. Anything you want to talk about today, I am here."

And This Morning viewers couldn't help but comment on how 'awkward' it was due to the fact reports are suggesting Holly and Phillip are 'barely speaking' behind the scenes.

@Edwardv22249346 tweeted: "Phone in……if you don’t get on with your boss………awkward……..#ThisMorning." @Itt39354118 said: "Haha hagen talking about relationships #thismorning."

It have been claimed that Phillip's pre-planned absence from the programme last month around his brother’s sex abuse trial contributed to a "cooling" of their friendship. But Monday's show is the first time the pair have been seen together since 61-year-old Phillip issued an unexpected statement in which he defended his relationship with Holly, 42, who he continued to claim is his 'rock'.

Holly and Phillip were all smiles as they appeared live to millions this morning. Lorraine Kelly crossed over to the pair to find out what was coming up on This Morning towards the end of her self-titled talk show. Sitting next to each other with smiles on their faces, the duo shared what fans can expect from the latest episode.

But when This Morning got underway at 10am, the pair were nowhere to be seen. That's because the first edition of the show of the week opened with a performance, The show opened with Disney composer Alan Menken at the piano playing a medley of music from the iconic franchise.

The duo have since returned to the famous sofa for Tuesday's show (May 16) as they continue on as normal. It also comes after Phillip issued a sensational statement on his relationship with Holly,42, who he continued to claim is his 'rock'.

The 61-year-old told The Sun: "As I have said before, Holly is my rock. We’re the best of friends – as always, she is an incredible support on screen, behind the scenes and on the phone. Holly has always been there for me, through thick and thin. And I’ve been there for her." Phillip added: "The last few weeks haven’t been easy for either of us."
