ITV presenter Holly Willoughby returned to the This Morning couch this week, following a two-week holiday that was interrupted by the Phillip Schofield scandal.
The mum was left 'deeply hurt' by the announcement that her former co-host Phil had been having an affair with a younger ITV colleague, reports the Daily Record.
The presenter had been on holiday as the shocking news emerged, as Phil admitted he had lied to Holly and other colleagues about the affair, as well as ITV bosses and his family.

Viewers tuning into the show on Wednesday believe they have found the "perfect fit" for Phil's replacement, claiming that the new face 'works better' with Holly.
Holly was joined by fellow ITV star Craig Doyle, who tends to host the show alongside former Big Brother winner Josie Gibson.
One viewer wrote on Twitter: "ABSOLUTELY should keep Craig on This Morning permanently! He is the perfect fit with Holly! #thismorning #craigdoyle."
Someone else wrote: "If anyone could save TM I think its Craig. Very good presenter and works better with Holly than a female presenter. #thismorning."
A third said: "Craig Doyle’s an absolute joy isn’t he? He’s very natural & clearly gets on well with Holly. Could he be the perfect replacement for you know who? #ThisMorning."

Another added: "There’s such a warmth and calmness about Craig Doyle, Holly seems more relaxed with him too. Would not complain if he were to be permanent #ThisMorning."
And a fifth wrote: "Can we have Craig Doyle permanently as Phil’s replacement? He and Holly just work so well together #thismorning @thismorning."
Holly returned to the ITV couch with a now-infamous speech about the Phillip Schofield scandal, where she asked viewers if they were okay, before explaining her own feelings surrounding the affair.
She added: "You, me and all of us at This Morning gave our love and support to someone who was not telling the truth. Who acted in a way that they themselves felt that they had to resign from ITV and step down from a career that they loved. That is a lot to process.
"And it’s equally hard to see the toll that it’s taken on their own mental health. I think what unites us all now is a desire to heal for the health and wellbeing of everyone.
"I hope that as we start this new chapter and get back to a place of warmth and magic that this show holds for all of us, we can find strength in each other."
