This Morning are reportedly eyeing up Stacey Solomon and Joe Swash to join the show's line-up amid all of the backlash surrounding 'Queuegate'.
Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield were falsely accused of cutting in the queue to see the Queen lying in state in Westminster Hall earlier this month, and despite ITV clarifying they did not jump the line and were working, public anger still remains.
In fact, a petition for the pair to be axed from their jobs has already grown to 75,000 and counting.
And now it has been reported that This Morning bosses could end up making Stacey and her husband Joe presenters on the popular daytime programme.
A source told Closer magazine: "Executives on the show have admired Stacey Solomon for a long time. She’s a huge hit on Loose Women and has a broad appeal among all age groups who watch ITV."
They continued: "Stacey actually started talking to This Morning bosses several months ago and they made clear they saw a role for both her and Joe to work as part of the programme in the future.
"Stacey, who is a big fan of Holly, said this was something that interested them both."
The Mirror has contacted representatives for Stacey, Joe and This Morning asking for comment.
Closer's source went on to say: "Both Holly and Phil have been totally dumbstruck at how events have unfolded and they worry how they will recover.
“It’s never been so bad. The fallout from ‘queue-gate’ has only heightened ongoing concerns and reports that Holly and Phil’s time may be drawing to an end on This Morning," the inside claimed.
This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV and ITV Hub.
