This Morning descends into chaos as Alison Hammond loses it over leprechaun whisperer

Viewers tuning in to ITV’s This Morning were left in hysterics on Friday, March 17 when hosts Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary came face to face with the world’s last remaining leprechaun whisperer. In a St Patrick’s Day celebration, Kevin Woods stopped by the studio and even brought a 'friend' with him.

Throughout the entertaining interview, Kevin held a bag under his arm and claimed that inside was a leprechaun. “Put your arms round the table in case he jumps up,” the eccentric man told the show’s presenters.

With that, Dermot readied himself for the leprechaun’s arrival and positioned himself on the studio floor. Alison asked: “Is he not going to suffocate? Let's get him out and get some air into him,” and Kevin replied: “He’s okay, don’t you worry.”

The presenters, however, were left sorely disappointed as the leprechaun was nowhere to be seen when Kevin opened the bag. “Oh for God sake! The wee f**ker,” he said to Alison and Dermot’s surprise.

Kevin then revealed that the ‘leprechaun’ had left his boots, a shovel and even a little bit of gold. “A little bit of gold! Is that for Alison?” Dermot asked and Kevin gave the new Bake Off presenter a small golden trinket.

“Apologies if there was any bad language there,” Alison told viewers but they didn’t appear too bothered. “He was hilarious,” said one person on social media of Kevin’s appearance.

A second added: “Hilarious! What a character,” and a third echoed: “This man was delightfully bonkers. Best TV I’ve seen in ages.”
