After a summer of the show having many different hosts, Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoiughby will soon return to This Morning, with bosses confirming what date they'll be back, just as they've been 'snubbed' for this year's National Televisión Awards.
As they do every year, the ITV daytime programme's usual presenting duo have been on an extended break for summer, with them last being seen on screen in mid-July. With Phillip and Holly missing in action for well over a month, the studio has welcomed a whole range of different presenters in their place, with producers trying out a number of different combinations of hosts.
First to pick up the baton were This Morning's Friday double act, Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary, who were at the helm of the show fore a full week. And since they did the honours, the likes of Josie Gibson, Craig Doyle, Vernon Kay, Rochelle Humes and Andi Peters have all being given a shot in the studio.

There was widespread excitement across social media last week when Ruth Langsford and Rylan Clark hosted together, before Vernon and Rochelle teamed up to present the last week of the summer holidays.
Viewers will see Phillip and Holly back to present from Monday, September 5, just as viewers demanded This Morning chiefs give Ruth and Rylan the main presenters' jobs on a permanent basis. AS Ruth confirmed that Friday was her and Rylan's last show together, viewers rushed to Twitter to praise them. One tweeted: "Ruth and Rylan have a such a genuine rapport, added to the fact that they are both very charismatic together @ThisMorning - you are missing an opportunity if you don't pursue this pairing, this week has been the best week on #ThisMorning." In agreement, a second posted: "How refreshing are Rylan and Ruth on #ThisMorning Why can't they replace Holly and Phil?"
Phillip and Holly's return to This Morning comes a week after they were notable absentees from the fan-voted National Television Awards shortlist for Best Presenter. In years gone by, they've gone up against friends Ant and Dec for the accolade, which the Geordie duo have won for the past 21 years, but this year it's Bradley Walsh, Graham Norton and Phillip and Holly's This Morning colleague Alison who will try and beat the lads.
