This Morning chaos as Holly and Phil face Spin to Win backlash

There was chaos in the This Morning studio on Thursday (June 16) as Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield prepared to play 'Spin to Win'. Returning from the ad-break, the presenting pair were up to their usual giggly antics as they referenced social media's response to the viewer backlash as they wait for people to pick up the phone. Holly said: "We've decided that us dancing like lunatics, may not be what you want us to do."

Trying very hard not to burst out laughing, Phillip responded: "We're trying to find out what to do as we wait for you to pick up the phone." Despite entertaining for them, viewers have taken to social media to call the dancing, "cringe" and "awkward."

Phillip referenced that some of the viewers had sent in what they think they should do, but he said that "some of them were not clean." The studio erupted into laughter but what followed was going to be even funnier...

When the competition wheel came down from the ceiling, it was time for Holly and Phillip to make up their minds as to what they were going to do. The too-familiar music began to play and Phillip did a little wiggle, before saying that he "likes to dance." On hand to help, the cameras panned over to other people in the studio, shifting focus on the presenting duo.

It didn't take long to notice that in the confusion, Holly said: "Have we actually rang anyone?" As the camera showed various members of the studio, the pair realised that the phone wasn't even ringing. Luckily someone picked up the phone immediately afterwards.

One person said, following the incident: "Yess it's all going wrong. LOVE IT."

Meanwhile another person commented: "They've been reading the tweets then," in reference to the viewer's distaste at Holly and Phillip's dancing.

This Morning airs on weekdays from 10am
