This Morning got off to a very raucous start on Friday as Alison Hammond revealed that it's her birthday on Saturday, February 5.
As the show began, Alison's co-host Dermot O'Leary made sure to mention her special day as she asked him: "So where's the cake?"
"Alright, calm it! We know it's your birthday!" Dermot told her before adding: "Listen, let me take control for a second, it's a special day for Alison."
"I'm joking, I'm joking," Alison replied as Dermot reminded her how This Morning marked her birthday in 2021.
He then headed over to the kitchen area where he retrieved a very impressed birthday cake for the former Big Brother star.
"Now we know the only thing you've ever drunk in your whole life, even in the middle of summer when you're eating a salad, is Baileys - so weird!" Dermot announced.
He then lifted up a Baileys themed cake as Stevie Wonder's Happy Birthday was blasted out in the studio.
"Thank you so much, can I eat it now?" Alison asked looking delighted as Dermot replied: "Yeah, you can stick your head right in there! It's got Baileys buttercream!"
"Well we might as well have bit of a tipple now, start the show off as we mean to go one," Alison declared as she opened a mini bottle of the Irish cream liqueur.
Viewers were shocked at the first five minutes of the ITV show and took to Twitter to comment.
One person posted: "Alison can’t cut a cake. And this segment is such carnage. I LOVE IT. #ThisMorning."
Another said: "Carnage already and it's not even 10.15 #thismorning."
A third viewer tweeted: "Alison & Dermot! I’ve laughed more this 5 mins than I have all week! #ThisMorning."
And another added: "Hahaha alison with the cake #thismorning."
This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV and ITV Hub.
