This Morning viewers were left feeling 'miserable' after tuning into the ITV programme on Thursday morning as hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield kicked off the show with some seriously heavy topics of conversation.
Even hosts Holly and Phil appeared to be downcast and 'deadpan' as the show started straight off with difficult topics including the war in Ukraine and the possible threat to the UK as the nation continues to aide the war-torn country.
Things took a turn for the worst when Phil even predicted that the UK could possibly be targeted by Russia as war experts predict that the battle between Vladimir Putin and Volodymyr Zelenskyy will continues for another two years - at least.
Conversation then turned to the cost of living crisis in the UK, as Holly and Phil debated what the outcome of the 2023 budget will be as it takes place on March 15.
The hosts appeared to become more and more downcast as the subject turned to Shamima Begum being refused entry back into the UK after leaving the country to join ISIS in 2015.
Following the 'miserable' content during the first segment of This Morning, unimpressed viewers flocked to Twitter to share their reactions.
"Turned on the TV after waking up and feel an overwhelming sense of doom and gloom now. Thanks Holly and Phil," one fan tweeted.
"OMG why is This Morning soooooo depressing. Even and Holly and Phillip don't seem like themselves? They're so deadpan," another echoed.
A third This Morning viewer quipped: "Wish I had of watched the Love Island re-run instead of This Morning.... I want to go back to bed now.
"War, cost of living crisis, and ISIS and funeral all within ten minutes."
"The most depressing This Morning in history!!!!!! Not what we need when we turn on the TV as an escape," someone else complained.
"Is it just me or are the vibes with Holly and Phil so off today? Can't put my finger on it," another viewer pointed out.
"Gosh, whoever scheduled the topics on This Morning today must be going through it. How miserable," someone else tweeted.
This Morning continues tomorrow morning at 10am on ITV1 and ITVXX.
