Manchester United fans are all sharing the same theory amid reports suggesting Cristiano Ronaldo’s agent has discussed a move to Chelsea.
Recent reports have claimed Ronaldo is eyeing up an exit from Old Trafford, having been left unhappy with the lack of transfers so far this summer. United are yet to make any new signings, despite new manager Erik ten Hag being faced with a major rebuild following a dismal 2021/22 campaign.
Bayern Munich were touted as a possible destination, although the German champions have since denied they are looking at a deal. A reunion with Jose Mourinho at Roma has also been suggested by reports in Italy.

Chelsea are now the latest side to be linked. The Athletic’s David Ornstein has reported that the Blues’ new owner, Todd Boehly, met Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendes in Portugal last week, where the idea of the five-time Ballon d’Or winner moving to Stamford Bridge was among the topics discussed.
Despite the reported discussions, United still expect Ronaldo to stay and see out the final year of his contract. Fans also believe the 37-year-old will stay, and think he may be sending a message to the board.
Ronaldo’s future has been a constant talking point since he made his return to Old Trafford last summer. United’s failure to qualify for next season’s Champions League fuelled speculation that he may look to leave this summer, and it appears the club may have to act quickly in the transfer market in order to keep him happy.
