I guess the only thing better than a Wrigley Field cup snake — in which Chicago Cubs fans in the bleachers put together a giant serpentine collection of beer cups, teamwork! — is a TV segment about Wrigley Field cup snakes.
That’s what we saw Thursday night, with the New York Mets well ahead of the Cubs at Wrigley. SNY sent Steve Gelbs out to talk to some of the makers of Thursday’s epic cup snake, and the interview — from the shoutout to the fan’s family to breaking down the process — is perfect. And it’s followed by the booth with Gary Cohen and Keith Hernandez discussing the consumption of alcohol.
