Christian Eriksen has thanked Manchester United fans who attended the club’s friendly with Atletico Madrid in Norway for their warm reception.
The midfielder was the standout player after coming on in the second half. It was his first 'proper' outing for the club after scoring on his debut in midweek's 4-1 behind-closed-doors friendly win over Wrexham.
The No.14 is one of three new signings brought to the club by Erik ten Hag, with third arrival Lisandro Martinez failing to feature in Saturday’s match. Eriksen entered the field on 69 minutes and made an instant impact.

His cutting diagonal cross almost found both Marcus Rashford and Anthony Elanga within 60 seconds. He featured as one of two attacking midfielders in the second half alongside Donny van de Beek, as Ten Hag revealed his plan B formation of 4-1-2-3.
United would ultimately lose 1-0 thanks to a late Joao Felix effort but that didn’t take away from the appreciation felt by Eriksen. Taking to Instagram shortly after full-time, he said: “This looks good and feels good!
“Wonderful reception from the fans here in Norway! Happy to have played my first minutes @manchesterunited #ce14.”
