Royal Enfield is a vibe. It’s a brand that dares to ignore numbers on a spec sheet, and instead, focus on the more intangible side of motorcycling—stuff like emotion, experience, and self-expression. Pretty much all of Royal Enfield’s bikes are embodiments of this, and judging from the success the brand’s been enjoying, it’s clear that this resonates with a lot of riders all over the world.
But out of all of the bikes in Royal Enfield’s catalog, the recently unveiled Shotgun 650 embodies this custom-out-of-the-showroom-floor ethos the most…at least for me.
Based on the already impressive Super Meteor 650, the Shotgun throws in—or rather, hacks off—some stuff to make the cruiser more sporty. To make it even more special, Royal Enfield has teamed up with ICON Motorsports.
Inspired by the brand’s “Always Something” custom builds first revealed at EICMA and Motoverse 2024.
This means that the bike gets a more race-inspired look with a very retro three-tone color scheme, gold contrast-cut rims, blue shock springs, and a red saddle complete with an integrated logo. Over on the cockpit, bar-end mirrors give this special Shotgun a leaner, more aggressive stance, while the overall design screams custom culture.
It’s not just a bike—it’s a statement. A rolling work of art that pays tribute to the world of garage-built specials and high-energy street style.
But crazy colors, flashy bolt-ons, and vintage styling aside,m, the Shotgun 650 is already an exceptional motorcycle. Powered by Royal Enfield’s refined 648cc parallel-twin engine, it delivers a smooth and torquey ride that’s as easygoing as it is engaging. The chassis is tuned for balance—comfortable enough for city cruising, yet dynamic enough to take on the twisties. All this I was able to experience firsthand fairly recently when I got to run this bike through its paces through the twisty roads of the Sierra Madre mountain ranges here in the Philippines.

That being said, this limited edition retains that solid engineering but elevates it with ICON’s design language, making it a factory custom that feels like it was built just for you.
To sweeten the deal, every buyer of the Shotgun 650 ICON Edition gets an exclusive Slabtown Intercept RE jacket, crafted by ICON. Made of suede and textile, with leather appliques and embroidery, it’s a collector’s item in itself, all while being a functional piece of gear, too—pretty much just like the bike.
With only 100 units available worldwide, this is one of the rarest factory-built Royal Enfields to ever hit the market. US buyers can register through Royal Enfield’s website for a shot at being one of just 25 to get their hands on this beauty. The official launch goes live on February 12, and given the hype surrounding Royal Enfield’s recent limited releases, it’s safe to say that all 100 bikes will be gone in a matter of minutes. So if you want in, you’d better act fast.
