This is how much industry experts predict Justice League will make in its opening weekend

Justice League is scheduled for a November 17 release.

Tickets for Justice League, DC Films’ superhero extravaganza featuring a lineup that includes Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, The Flash and Cyborg (and maybe even Superman), went on sale on Friday. According to data provided by online seller Fandango, the movie is expected to deliver huge numbers in its opening weekend.

The film is scheduled for a November 17 release, and Warner Bros flew the cast - Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Jason Momoa, Ezra Miller, Henry Cavill and Ray Fisher - to Beijing for its world premiere on Friday. According to Deadline, the movie is expected to open with $110-$120 million (Rs 700 crore) in US and Canada.

The films is tracking above Wonder Woman, which opened to $103 million earlier this year. Deadline notes that this projection could shoot up after the release of Thor: Ragnarok on November 3. The Marvel threequel is currently on track to open with $125 million.

According to Fandango data, fans are most excited to see Wonder Woman and Aquaman, a trend that has impacted the film’s marketing, with the latest posters upgrading the two superheroes over Batman.

The previous entry in the DC Extended Universe, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice debuted to $166 million in 2016. Justice League is directed by Zack Snyder, who departed the project after a personal tragedy earlier in 2017. Avengers director Joss Whedon took over the remaining duties.
