One name to watch for offensive coordinator as new Jacksonville Jaguars’ head coach Liam Coen looks to fill out his coaching staff is Grant Udinski, who has been on the Minnesota Vikings staff since 2022.
Udinski has already completed a virtual interview with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for their offensive coordinator opening and also interviewed with Seattle as well.
Alec Lewis, who covers the Vikings for The Athletic, mentioned that Udinski was also someone to “watch” with Jacksonville as well.
At this time, no reported interview has taken place or is scheduled.
Still just 29 years old, Udinski is a fast riser in the coaching ranks. With the Vikings over the last three seasons, Udinski has held several roles, which includes most recently, being the assistant offensive coordinator and the assistant quarterbacks coach.
Lewis would that Udinski has worked very closely with Vikings’ head coach Kevin O’Connell and the quarterbacks over the last three years.
With the Vikings in 2024, Sam Darnold would have a career year at quarterback, completing 66% of his passes for 4,564 yards with 36 touchdowns to 13 interceptions as Minnesota went on to win 14 games.
Another name to watch when it comes to the Jaguars’ offensive coordinator role is Chip Kelly, who reportedly, Jacksonville may have interest in.
