The heat is here and now we are looking at all the best ways to keep cool in our homes. From BBQs, days in the paddling pool and family get togethers, we all need those moments to get indoors and keep cool. There are retailers with all variations of fans flying off shelves, but we've managed to find one that's compact enough to move around the house and not too steep in price.
The more affordable version is Russell Hobbs Scandi Desk Fan, which you can get in a handful of colourways.

Their range of fans are multifunctional and can also be used at night to secure an uninterrupted night’s sleep.
I was lucky enough to give one of the styles a go, the Scandi desk fan in grey and wood is £49.99.
Whether this product is hard to assemble or if this is just a reflection of my DIY skills, I struggled a little putting the pieces together.
Each component of the fan comes packaged separately, forcing you to put your building skills to good use - and I'm just not the best in these situations.
So a job that should have only took me a couple of minutes took me half an hour, which on a night of sweltering heat in bed I wasn't best pleased with.
Anyway, fast forward to now using it at my work desk at home and moving it up to my bedroom on a particularly hot night... I'm a big fan (pardon the pun). We have noticed a huge difference with our bedtime routine and we are managing to get a more peaceful nights sleep with a constant cool breeze. it's not too loud either, which can be a nuisance with some brands- they can seem like you are lying next to a small helicopter!
We also can't get enough of the stylish design of the fan, it fits our bedroom perfectly and doesn't feel too clunky for an additional feature.

You can pick up other similar products on the likes of Amazon and Argos pages for cheaper, but will you get the same quality or modern design? Probably not.
