Manchester United fans have been sharing their reactions to the latest Frenkie de Jong update.

MEN Sport understands that United are set to make an improved bid for Barcelona's midfielder. United's opening offer of €60m (£51.64m) was rejected by Barca and it is now thought that United would like to make an improved bid for the player.

Erik ten Hag is understood to have made De Jong his number one transfer target this summer as he looks to improve United's midfield. United sources say they are "negotiating hard" for a fair deal for De Jong.

Barcelona are believed to be willing to accept €75m (£64.55m) plus add-ons to allow the 25-year-old to leave Camp Nou. De Jong and Ten Hag previously worked alongside each other at Ajax.
