This bride wore 60 kg gold on her wedding day!

Brides across the world love making style statements on their big day, but a bride went a little too overboard!

A bride from China is hitting headlines for wearing 60 kilograms of gold jewellery on her wedding day. The bride from Hubei province, which is the provincial capital of Wuhan, China has gone viral, thanks to her wedding day look.

A picture of the pretty bride, who tied the knot on September 30, this year is doing the rounds on the internet. The bride can be seen dressed in a traditional Chinese white wedding dress along with excessive gold jewllery and can be seen holding a bouquet of roses in her hands.

The gold jewellery that was said to be around 60 kg was a gift from none other than her loving husband and so much jewellery actually made it impossible for the bride to move about.

According to a report published by Tribun Solo, the bride was given the gold jewellery as dowry by her husband, who is known to be from a rich family. She was given 60 gold necklaces, each weighing around one kilogram along with two huge gold bangles.

Some wedding guests actually pitied the bride for wearing such heavy jewellery and offered her help, but the elegant bride was all smiles during the wedding ceremony and politely refused all the help offered.

As per Chinese beliefs, gifting gold is considered to be auspicious especially on weddings. Some Chinese communities also think gold can save the newlyweds from evil spirits and bring good luck in their new journey. Many Chinese temples and other religious places across Asia have massive gold structures built inside the compounds and it only implies that gold has always been considered sacred.

Well, we think the bride looked pretty but her jewellery was just a bit too much. Tell us what do you think about the Chinese bride's expensive wedding jewellery in the comment section below.
