The world's biggest book sale, Big Bad Wolf Books, will return to Bangkok with a myriad of books and big discounts, at Impact Forum Hall 4 of Muang Thong Thani, for 12 days starting from tomorrow until Dec 18, from 10am to midnight.
Held to celebrate the holiday season, this year's festival is a collaboration with Thai Book United and over 50 Thai publishers, giving book-lovers and visitors the opportunity to browse through one million copies of both English and Thai-language books covering diverse classifications at a killer discount of up to 95% off.
They will find books in every genre comprising classic literature, best-selling novels, fiction and non-fiction, fantasy, philosophy, cookbooks, popular entertainment, biography, autobiography, romance, travel, film, music, parenting, historical fiction, politics, self-help, fashion and many more.
In addition to books, the event also highlights deals on game bots, planners and PlanToys dino sets, plus activities that promote the inspiration and joy of reading, panel discussions and educational sessions.
Expect to join cooking demonstrations; Thai and English storytelling; reading, singing and playing; Dino Gang show; and a jigsaw contest.
The book sale was launched in Malaysia in 2009 with a mission to cultivate reading habits, increase English literacy worldwide and build a new generation of readers by making books more affordable and accessible to everyone.
Since its inception, the reading advocacy initiative has evolved tremendously, going global and touring 37 cities in 15 countries -- Malaysia, Cambodia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Myanmar, Pakistan, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, South Korea, Singapore, Thailand, Taiwan, the United Arab Emirates and, most recently, Tanzania and Kenya.
