This Bengali bride wore the prettiest traditional 'Laal' sari on her wedding

2021 has been the unofficial year of saris. From Bollywood divas flaunting saris on the red carpet to brides slaying in sari on their wedding mandap. Saris are having a moment right now, especially red coloured ones. Red, the colour of passion has made a strong comeback in the arena of fashion. And since many brides have been opting for saris over lehengas these days, there go-to wedding sari hue is mostly red or a shade of red. We came across one such bride on Instagram, who stunned in a beautiful red sari on her wedding.

Real bride, Kamalika Mitra stunned in a traditional red 'laal' as they call it in Bengali, for her beautiful wedding ceremony held in Kolkata, West Bengal.

Kamalika flaunted a bright laal sari featuring golden zari work. The Sabyasachi creation had an eye-catching pallu with intricate floral pattern on it.

The beautiful bride teamed up the sari with a pretty red blouse with fine bird embroidery on the sides. She finished off the look with a net veil in red and some traditional gold jewellery.

If you love Sabyasachi creations, you can call Kamalika the classic Sabyasachi bride.

And not to miss was her chandan bindi or chondon fota, which sets any Bengali bride aside. It's the design that's painted over the eyes of the bride and features a bold red bindi placed at the centre of her forehead with little bindis in chandan painted over the eyebrows.

Kamalika also flaunted the traditional shankha pola (special bangles worn by married women in West Bengal).

We loved this bride's traditional look, tell us how did you like it in the comment section below.
