This amazing Celtic autograph book from 1969 captures a moment in time

A Celtic fan has uncovered an autograph book chock-full of club heroes' signatures from the late 1960s.

As posted to the Celtic sub Reddit, user Aliboombali1987 details that his late father and step mother had passed the book onto him, and that he plans to get it framed.

The Redditor reckons the book was signed in 1969, with some of the Lisbon Lions' signatures clearly visible in the image.

"My late father had kept this and my step mum recently found it and passed it on to me," says the Reddit user's post. "I believe he got this signed in 1969. There are some big names on there. I think I'll have to frame it and hang it on the wall."

The Lisbon Lions, of course, need little introduction, as the ever-charismatic Jim Craig proved last weekend when unfurling the league flag ahead of Celtic's 4-0 win over Kilmarnock at Paradise.

What that team achieved in 1967 remains untouchable, when a squad of Scottish players became the first non-Latin side to win the European Cup, overcoming Italian giants Inter Milan in Portugal.

Brendan Rodgers reiterated his desire to make in-roads in European football during his most recent pre-match press conference, and it feels like a distinguishable part of the club's focus this season is fixed on making waves in the newly-formatted UEFA Champions League.
