According to the viral video, which has already clocked up over 15 million views, all you need is a few household bits: a small grating of soap, a dollop of toothpaste, two spoonfuls of refined sugar, and some stale bread. Mix it all together and you’ve got what the TikToker describes as a “powerful homemade poison for rats.”
The idea is that the sugar and bread lure the rats in, but the rest of the mix is lethal once ingested. The creator suggests placing the mixture near drains and around the garden — basically anywhere you’ve spotted unwanted visitors.
