Third EPL team joins transfer race to sign Kieran Tierney

Aston Villa are reportedly the latest club to join the race to sign Kieran Tierney this summer.

Unai Emery is said to be eying a reunion with the former Celtic defender in the upcoming transfer window.

The 51-year-old has performed a stunning job since replacing Steven Gerrard at Villa Park in October.

He appears to be on the cusp of guiding the Villians to a European-placed finish come the end of the season.

And reports suggest the Spaniard is already putting the groundwork in to ensure his squad has the strength and depth to deal with this next term.

The Daily Mail claims that Arsenal's 25-year-old is high on Villa's wishlist.

Emery brought Scottish international Tierney to the Emirates back in 2019 while he was in charge of the Gunners.

The Scotland star became a big fan favourite in North London but he has been limited to just five starts for the Premier League title challengers this term.

He's very much played second-fiddle to Oleksandr Zinchenko all campaign.

And now Tierney could decide to try and push for a move elsewhere in order to get more regular action with his former manager keen.

Another two Premier League clubs are believed to be interested in the left-back, though.

It's no secret that Newcastle have shown a keen interest in KT, but Manchester City are also said to be monitoring his situation at The Emirates.
