The 49ers will open their training camp on July 26 with a smattering of fans in attendance to watch the club prepare in earnest for the 2023 campaign.
Open practice dates are July 26-27 and 30-31, and August 1, 4-5 and 7.
Aside from things like camp battles and players on the roster bubble, there are some rules and tidbits for fans to keep in mind when they go:
You need a ticket
It’s just practice, but a ticket is required for entry. Training camp tickets went on sale for season ticket holders on July 15. They go on sale for the general public on July 17 at noon Pacific Time. Tickets cost $10 and proceeds benefit the 49ers Foundation.
Practice start time and length
While times may not be exact, the team approximates that practices will begin at 10:15 am and wrap up around 12:15 pm.
Gates open at 9:00 am.
Practice isn’t inside Levi’s Stadium
Practices take place at the SAP Performance Center located right next to Levi’s Stadium. No practices are scheduled to take place inside the stadium.
Parking is free
Fans are permitted to park in Red Lot 1, and the team won’t charge for parking.
Bring your own food and water
There won’t be any concessions for sale, so fans will want to bring their own food and water. Temperatures can get pretty warm in Santa Clara during the Summer, so we highly recommend bringing plenty of water or a water bottle to fill up at the water stations provided by the team.
Back Together Weekend
NFL Network will be on hand Sunday, July 30 for Back Together Weekend. From there NFLN hosts and analysts will conduct interviews and analysis of the team heading into the season.
87 Day
The final open practice is set for August 7, also known as ‘87 Day.’ The annual tradition at 49ers camp raises awareness for those diagnosed with ALS, as well as their families. ALS Association and Augie’s Quest — two organizations committed to fighting ALS — will be guests of the 49ers that day. All ticket proceeds from 87 Day will benefit the Golden Heart Fund.
Memorabilia available
Every fan at camp will get a chance to participate in the team’s Dig For Gold Auction and Sale. Things available for auction and sale will include player-worn gear, team-issued apparel and other items. There’ll also be mystery bags available for purchase with surprise 49ers items inside.
