October is a popular month in the city with plenty to see and do in the run-up to Derry's famous Halloween celebrations.
We're pretty sure there's something to suit all tastes, across the length and breadth of the city.

So, whether you're here on holiday or just enjoying days out, you'll find the perfect attraction on this list to keep the whole family occupied, whatever the weather.
1. Kick start your day with a bit to eat along Derry's Quay
A popular favourite with elaborate hot chocolates on offer, several sports along the Quay are ideal for a hot drink, especially in the Autumn and Winter months.
One local business, Primrose offers some of the best food in the city and will set up for the day ahead.
Stop in and get one of the best breakfasts the town has to offer.
2. Get in the Halloween spirit straight away at Lock 'N' Load.
This is one for those who love an adrenaline rush. Lock 'N' Load in Derry's Balliniska Road is offering the ultimate Halloween game of laser tag.
'Zombie Apocalypse' offers people the chance to get into the spirit of Halloween.
3. Soak in the history of the city by visiting the Derry Walls
Derry's walls need no introduction. With fantastic views of the city and access to plenty of coffee shops to keep your hands warm, a walk along the walls is a pleasant way to spend any day.
4. Make sure to come back as the Derry Walls 'awaken' later this month
This year’s festival will take place over four days with a packed programme of activities, from ghoulish ghost tours to spell-binding story-telling.
The action all kicks off on Friday, October 28 with the start of the Awakening the Walled City Trail which takes place throughout the City featuring captivating installations, music and performance.
5. Take a dander over the Peace Bridge
Since its launch in 2011, the Peace Bridge has become an integral part of the City’s infrastructure and is held in high regard by locals and visitors alike.
It's a must if you haven't done it already.
6. Take the kids to the Monster Halloween funfair
The Spooky Halloween funfair has all your favourite attractions for the whole family. People can enjoy panoramic views of the city from the Big wheel and get into the Halloween spirit on the ghost train.
7. Go on a walking tour around and visit some of the city's murals
Get up, close and personal in the city with a walking tour.
Derry is a compact walkable city with plenty of tours on offer from history and political tours, to fun Derry Girls screen walking tours.
8. Have a bit of craic at the Derry Oktoberfest
Sure it'll be a bit of craic if nothing else!
9. Don't forget to stay for Europe's best Halloween firework display
Like every year, the celebrations will culminate in the Festival Finale fireworks with all eyes on the River Foyle for a deathly display of pyrotechnics.
Thousands come from across the world each year to see one of the biggest and best fireworks displays in Europe.
10. And, of course, have a jook at the Derry Girls mural
Well, it's Derry Girls! It's a no-brainer.
Despite thick Derry accents and our wee phrases, people from every corner of the world have fallen in love with our Erin, Orla, Michelle, Clare and the Wee English Fella just as much as we have.
