There's loads of activities and attractions to get your heart pumping.

The Skycoaster is a free-falling swing, where a pair of thrill-seekers are dropped from a height of 120ft, enjoying 15ft of free-fall and a vast swing which takes you less than 6ft from the pier decking at a speed of around 80mph.

The Carousel bar on the pier-head has a Victorian wrought iron canopy, and its outdoor sun-lounge is classified as the largest beer garden in Blackpool - complete with a live organist.

It's also the birthplace of Sooty, and where Harry Corbett bought the original puppet for his son Matthew, before creating the popular children's show.

One of the oldest remaining Sooty puppets is on display in the pier.
