Thierry Henry sports retro Arsenal kit as club legend teaches son 'importance of the north London derby'

When it's derby day, you need all the support you can get.

Arsenal have no shortage of high-profile fans, but it doesn't get much better than Thierry Henry, does it?

The Gunners host Tottenham in today's north London derby at the Emirates, with both teams in search of a much-needed win with the pressure already growing early on this season.

Liverpool have won all four of their opening Premier League games, while Spurs and Arsenal are both off the pace after losing to Newcastle and Liverpool respectively last weekend.

With Arsenal in need of a boost today, Henry took to Twitter to post a picture of himself with his son in the back of a car with both wearing club jerseys.

A man of style and taste, Henry went for the classic 1992 Arsenal shirt with the JVC sponsor logo across it - and followed up his initial tweet by writing: "Game day with the little man. Teaching him the importance of the NLD. #COYG".

Hernry boasts a fine record of five north London derby goals in the Premier League - only bettered by Robert Pires (seven), Emmanuel Adebayor (eight) and Harry Kane (nine) - so Arsenal fans will be hoping that a little of his star quality rubs off on Unai Emery's squad today.
