Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has outlined all of Kylian Mbappe's key attributes whilst also labelling him a 'freak' of nature after his latest performance for Paris Saint-Germain against Real Madrid in the Champions League could prompt Chelsea's new owner into action.
Mbappe, 23, seemed to have put Mauricio Pochettino's side into a commanding position to progress to the quarter-finals after his first half goal gave them a 2-0 lead on aggregate following his strike in the first-leg, but an inspired Karim Benzema coupled with a collapse that is becoming worryingly familiar for the French giants meant this wasn't the case.
With the Parisians once again exiting the trophy that has evaded them for so long with even Thomas Tuchel unsuccessful in helping them find their holy grail, any future attempts may have to be made without their No.7.
Real Madrid seem poised to snap up the Frenchmen on an expensive free transfer in the summer, with no new contract seeming forthcoming in Paris.
Mbappe coupled with a few other big signings that are being lined up by Florentino Perez in the summer could propel Los Blancos right back to the top of the European scene.
However, with no deal officially announced as of yet, this leaves other clubs with an outside chance of potentially ruining Carlo Ancelotti's plans, so could the Blues have anything to say in this conversation?
Any transfer talk for the summer seems to be low on the current agenda of Tuchel, who is waiting on developments regarding the club's new owner, with Nick Candy and Muhsin Bayrak making big statements of their intent on Wednesday.
With all still unknown, it's anyone's guess at the moment what will be top of the agenda in the summer but one way any new owner or consortium could warm themselves to the Stamford Bridge faithful is to sign a player who is a well-known Tuchel favourite.
And Gunners legend Henry has highlighted the 23-year-old's key attributes that could benefit a team like Chelsea with the serial Premier League goal scorer rather complimentary of his fellow countrymen.
"This guy is just a freak," Henry outlined on CBS Sport's pre-match coverage of Real Madrid vs PSG.
"The way he can just see a goal, think about it, see the path and execute it is just phenomenal.
"He can see the path and has the attribute to just execute it which is a very important attribute for a top player."
Jamie Carragher weighed into the conversation: "What I think you [Henry] had and Kylian Mbappe certainly has is that they put fear into defenders.
"Is there anything in Mbappe's game that has taken him to that next level now?
To which, Henry responded: "His finish is better.
"He used to do a lot of skills sometime and he understood in the past that now he needs to be efficient more often that not.
"He has to stop going around and trying to please the crowd- you can appease the crowd by just scoring goals."
Henry's praise shows that whoever could be running Chelsea's new ownership structure could potentially pull off a massive coup by hijacking any pre-planned Real Madrid move, with the future of Timo Werner and Romelu Lukaku uncertain at the moment given their lack of game-time since Kai Havertz's purple patch.
